FAQ
Do I need a subtitle file?
No. The speech is recognised for you. If you already have an SRT and only want to convert or retime it, use the subtitle converter instead.
Can I edit the text before it is burned in?
Not yet. Transcribe the video first, correct the SRT, and tell us if you need burning from your own file — it is on the list.
What do the subtitles look like?
White text in a semi-transparent box at the bottom, sized to stay readable on a phone and lifted clear of player controls.
Can the subtitles be removed later?
No. Burned-in subtitles are pixels. Keep your original file if you might need a clean version.
How long does it take?
Recognition takes about as long as the recording, then re-encoding adds a fraction of that. A 5-minute clip lands in roughly 6–8 minutes.
Is there a limit?
One video a day without an account, up to 10 minutes. Premium raises it to 45 minutes with no daily limit.
