FAQ
Are my videos uploaded to a server?
No. Compression runs entirely in your browser using FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly. Nothing is sent over the network.
What is the file size limit?
Up to 2 GB. Very large files may run out of memory on mobile devices.
Which preset should I choose?
Medium is a good default: noticeable size reduction with acceptable quality. Use light for minimal loss, heavy for maximum compression.
Why does it take a while?
Video re-encoding is CPU-intensive. The first run also downloads the FFmpeg engine (~30 MB, cached afterwards).
