FAQ
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is sent over the network.
What happens to transparency?
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas of the WebP become white.
Will the quality drop?
JPG is lossy, but at 85% the difference is invisible for photos. Raise the slider to 95–100% for graphics with sharp edges.
Does it work with animated WebP?
Only the first frame is converted. JPG cannot store animation.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Drop as many WebP files as you like; they are converted one by one and you can download all of them as a ZIP.
