Remove EXIF metadata

Delete camera model, date, GPS coordinates and editing history from photos before sharing them. Metadata segments are cut out byte for byte, so image quality is not touched.

Your files never leave your browser

FAQ

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Files are processed entirely in your browser and never leave your device.

Does it reduce image quality?

No. Only metadata blocks are removed; the compressed image data is copied unchanged, so quality is identical to the original.

What exactly gets removed?

EXIF (camera, lens, date, GPS), XMP and IPTC blocks in JPEG; eXIf and text chunks in PNG; EXIF and XMP chunks in WebP.

Is the colour profile kept?

Yes. ICC colour profiles are not metadata about you and stay in the file so colours render correctly.

Which formats are supported?

JPG, PNG and WebP. For HEIC photos, convert them with HEIC to JPG first — the conversion drops the metadata too.
