FAQ
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is sent over the network.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG has no transparency, so they are filled with the background colour you choose. White is the default.
Why is the JPG sometimes larger than the PNG?
Flat graphics with few colours compress extremely well as PNG. JPG is built for photos; for logos or screenshots, PNG may stay smaller.
What quality should I choose?
85% is a safe default. Use 95–100% for graphics with sharp edges and text, 70–80% for photos where size matters most.
Can I convert several files at once?
Yes. Drop as many PNG files as you like; they are converted one by one and you can download them all as a ZIP.
