FAQ
Is my PDF uploaded?
Not on the free path — extraction runs in your browser. Premium sends the file to our servers for a full-layout conversion and deletes it right after.
Will the layout be preserved?
The browser version rebuilds text, headings and paragraphs, not columns, tables or images. For a faithful layout use the Premium server conversion, which runs LibreOffice.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
No — a scan is an image. Run it through Image to text (OCR) first, then paste the result into a document.
Which apps open the result?
Any: Microsoft Word 2007+, Google Docs, LibreOffice, Pages.
Is there a page limit?
No, but very large documents take longer; files up to 100 MB work in the browser, up to 4 GB on Premium.
