Turn audio into a video with a picture

YouTube and most social networks will not take a bare audio file. Put a cover image over your track, podcast episode or voice note and get an MP4 they all accept — sized for widescreen, square or vertical.

Your files never leave your browser

How to use

  1. 1

Drop a picture and an audio file into the box — in any order, or both at once.

  2. 2

Choose the format: 16:9 for YouTube, 1:1 for Instagram, 9:16 for Stories and TikTok.

  3. 3

Create the video and download the MP4.

FAQ

Is anything uploaded?

No. The video is assembled in your browser with FFmpeg compiled to WebAssembly; the picture and the audio never leave your device.

Will my picture be cropped?

No. It is fitted whole inside the frame and the empty space is filled with black, so cover art keeps its edges whichever format you choose.

How long can the audio be?

As long as your device can handle: a podcast hour works on a laptop. Since the picture never changes, the video is encoded at a very low frame rate, which keeps it quick and the file small.

Is the sound quality reduced?

The audio is encoded as AAC at 192 kbps, the format YouTube and social networks re-encode to anyway. For music that is transparent to most listeners.

Which audio formats work?

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus and FLAC. For the picture, JPG, PNG and WebP.
